The latest frontier in cashless payment acceptance is mobile wallets and digital payments.  Following world’s trends, The Belize Bank Limited is implementing a state-of-the-art digital wallet in Belize. The main objective of E-kyash is to lead the financial inclusion strategy across Belize by proposing an easy to use and convenient solution to perform daily transactions.

We hope to bring financial inclusion by deeper penetrating the unbanked. Research done by the Central Bank shows that in Belize, 34% of adults are outside of the financial system. The vast majority is unbanked due to lack of proper documentation. With the simplified onboarding process designed for the E-kyash, everybody will be able enroll and transact in a simple and secure way.
